Author Guidelines
Everything you need to prepare and submit your manuscript to AI DECISIONS.
Manuscript Format
Submit a single DOCX file. Include title, authors and affiliations in the document — the editorial office creates the anonymised copy for double-blind review.
Required sections
- Title, authors and affiliations
- Abstract (150–250 words) and keywords (3–6)
- Introduction and decision problem
- Related work and design rationale
- Methods: data, models, interfaces, human–AI protocols
- Evaluation design (RCT / A-B / DiD / ITS); outcomes and power
- Results (decision-level metrics)
- Operations & governance (monitoring, escalation, audit)
- External validity and generalisation
- Limitations and risks
- References (author–year; include DOIs)
Formatting
- A4, margins 2.5 cm, Times New Roman 12 pt, line spacing 1.15
- Word styles Heading 1–3; avoid numbering beyond H2
- Tables as Word tables (not images), caption above
- Figures 300 dpi (vector preferred), caption below
- Citations: author–year (Harvard/APA); include DOIs

Lengths exclude references, tables/figures and appendices. Supplementary materials encouraged.

Submission Checklist
Before submitting, verify:
Manuscript
- Single DOCX file with title, authors, affiliations
- Abstract (150–250 words) and keywords (3–6)

Decision context
- Who decides, stakes/constraints, workflow/procedures
- Decision-level metrics: utility/harms, calibration, fairness, time-to-decision, cost, workload
- Monitoring & governance: drift detection, escalation, audit logs, rollback
Reproducibility
- Code/configs available or justified restriction
- Data schemas or sample/links
- Model Card & Data Card (short versions allowed at submission)
Ethics & disclosures
- IRB/IEC approval (if applicable)
- GDPR/UK GDPR de-identification for human/clinical data
- Funding and competing interests disclosed
- AI-tool use disclosed (what tool, how verified)
- High-stakes declaration (healthcare/finance/government)
- ORCID for corresponding author
